Teaching
As a dance educator, every lesson can become a dance and every dance can become a lesson. My teaching balances rigor with creativity, combining technical training, choreography, and reflective practice to help students find their own voices. Guided by the principle Do what you know. Use what you have. Make what you need, I strive to create an inclusive environment where artistry, collaboration, and humanity thrive.
Choreography
I make work to tell the story of human emotions and the connections we have with the world. I make dances to understand life challenges and celebrations. I am curious about how movement can collide with real life experiences, allowing us to understand them in a deeper way. The work usually begins with a question or experience, then once explored and studied with the dancers, we find the deeper and authentic explanations to the initial query.
